Courage in the Face of Hate (CFH) is a feature video produced by Egale Canada in 2012. From the fall of 2011 to the spring of 2012, the CFH team conducted focus groups and individual interviews with victims of hate crime based on their real or perceived sexual orientation, gender identity and/or gender expression.

In our continued fight to prevent discrimination, bullying and hate crimes based on sexual orientation, gender identity and/or gender expression, CFH is a valuable resource for schools, community members, and the police.

The film has already been show at the Festival des Films du Monde / World Film Festival in Montreal, and is an official selection of the Edmonton International Film Festival. The film is available to community groups and police services across Canada; educators can also download accompanying lesson plans (http://courage.egale.ca/lesson-plans).
